This direct replacement water pump features aluminum construction with a precision-formed metal impeller and included pulley for reliable coolant flow in the innovative 2.3L Quad 4 dual overhead cam four-cylinder engine found in 1987 through 1995 General Motors performance compact and mid-size vehicles. The chain-driven standard rotation design is unique to the Quad 4 engine which uses a timing chain to drive the water pump rather than an external belt.
