The belt-driven pump provides proper factory equivalent installation for a wide range of AMC performance and passenger cars including the Javelin pony car and AMX sports coupe as well as Rebel Matador Hornet Ambassador and Gremlin models plus Jeep J-series trucks and CJ5. This era represents the golden age of American Motors Corporation when the company produced exciting performance vehicles while maintaining its reputation for practical affordable transportation. The AMC inline six was the workhorse engine available across nearly every AMC and Jeep model during this period producing reliable power with low maintenance requirements.
