This exhaust camshaft is designed for the Yamaha MR-1 998cc 4-cylinder 20-valve DOHC 4-stroke engine used in Yamaha WaveRunner personal watercraft and Yamaha jet boats from 2002 through 2008. The exhaust camshaft controls the opening and closing of the exhaust valves ensuring proper spent gas evacuation and optimal engine exhaust flow for reliable performance in the MR-1 998cc engine configuration. Direct replacement for Yamaha part number 60E-12181-00-00 (60E121810000) used in the Yamaha FX 140, FX, FX Cruiser WaveRunners and the Yamaha AR 230, SR 230, and SX 230 jet boats equipped with the MR-1 998cc engine from 2002 through 2008.
