The intake camshaft controls the opening and closing of the intake valves ensuring proper air-fuel mixture delivery and optimal engine breathing for reliable performance in the MR-1 998cc engine configuration. Direct replacement for Yamaha part number 60E-12171-00-00 (60E121710000) used in the Yamaha FX 140, FX, FX Cruiser WaveRunners and the Yamaha AR 230, SR 230, and SX 230 jet boats equipped with the MR-1 998cc engine from 2002 through 2008.
