⚠️ IMPORTANT: This starter is ONLY compatible with Norton Commando 850 Mark III (MKIII) Electric Start models from 1975-1977. NOT compatible with earlier kick-start only Commando models (1968-1974). Verify your motorcycle is a MKIII electric start model before ordering. The original Prestolite starter was known for reliability issues - this WOSP high-torque design provides superior performance with 4-brush construction and ball bearings. Ensure battery is in good condition (minimum 13AH, 200+ CCA recommended) for optimal starting. Check all electrical connections and ensure proper charging system operation.
