Kawasaki SS 750 Exhaust Gasket
Replacement exhaust gasket for the Kawasaki Jet Ski SS 750 personal watercraft equipped with the 743cc 2-stroke twin cylinder engine. This engine features an 80mm bore and 74mm stroke producing 63 horsepower with a single Mikuni carburetor and CDI ignition. This gasket seals the exhaust pipe connection preventing exhaust gas leaks. On 2-stroke marine engines proper exhaust sealing is critical because the exhaust system creates the back pressure needed for correct fuel scavenging. A leaking exhaust gasket disrupts this pressure balance causing lean running conditions that lead to overheating and piston damage. On personal watercraft the exhaust system is water cooled and a failed gasket can also allow water intrusion into the exhaust port causing hydro lock and catastrophic engine failure. Always inspect exhaust gaskets during routine maintenance and replace if cracked compressed or damaged. Clean both mating surfaces before installing the new gasket and torque fasteners to factory specification for a proper seal.
