Denso-type OSGR starter motor for Sterling medium and heavy duty trucks and Thomas Built school bus applications with Caterpillar engines. This 12-volt unit delivers 4 kW with clockwise rotation through a 10-tooth pinion. Fits Sterling Acterra M5500, M6500, M7500, M8500, and Condor with Caterpillar 3126 7.2L from 2001-2004. Also compatible with Thomas Built MVP-EF, TL960, and Type D Saf-T-Liner EF, ER, and HDX models with Cat 3126/3116. Direct bolt-on replacement. Replaces Denso 228000-5850 and Thomas Built 61230359.
