Sea-Doo 580/650/720 Ignition Coil Assembly
This ignition coil replaces Sea-Doo OEM 278000202 and 278000586. The ignition coil transforms low-voltage current from the CDI module into the high-voltage spark needed to ignite the fuel mixture in the 2-stroke Rotax engine. When the coil fails, the engine loses spark on one or both cylinders, causing misfires, rough running, or complete no-start. These early Sea-Doo models from 1992-2000 used a common ignition coil across 580cc, 650cc, and 720cc engines. Common causes of failure include heat cycling, vibration, and internal insulation breakdown from marine exposure. Direct plug-in replacement with factory connector.
