PRODUCT DETAILS:
This crankshaft repair sleeve is designed for Kawasaki, Polaris, and Sea-Doo personal watercraft engines from 440cc through 1100cc produced between 1977 and 2006. The repair sleeve restores the crankshaft oil seal surface that becomes worn or grooved over time from normal seal contact, eliminating the need to replace the entire crankshaft. For Kawasaki 440cc and 550cc engines the sleeve fits both the magneto and PTO sides, while 650cc through 1100cc engines use the sleeve on the magneto side only. Polaris 650cc through 780cc engines use the sleeve on both MAG and PTO sides, and Sea-Doo 580cc through 800cc engines use the sleeve on the MAG side. A worn seal journal allows oil to leak past the seal lip, causing loss of crankcase pressure, poor performance, and potential engine damage in 2-stroke engines. The precision-machined sleeve presses onto the crankshaft at the oil seal contact area to provide a fresh smooth sealing surface for a new oil seal during engine rebuild. Always install a new oil seal when fitting the repair sleeve to ensure proper sealing between the new sleeve surface and fresh seal lip.
