EVINRUDE E-TEC HISTORICAL CONTEXT:
• The Evinrude E-TEC (Evinrude Technology) was BRP's revolutionary 2-stroke direct injection outboard engine introduced in 2004
• E-TEC engines combined the lightweight power-to-weight advantage of 2-stroke design with low emissions and improved fuel economy
• Manufactured by BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products) which acquired OMC (Outboard Marine Corporation) in 2001
• Evinrude E-TEC production ended in 2020 when BRP exited the outboard motor market
• This starter fits the 40-90HP E-TEC models from the early production era 2004-2009
